Hi Joe, from Amy McGhee. My mom told me of your dad and mom's deaths. It was hurtful to hear as your parents were important in my life. They were significant in nurturing my spiritual development. They provided support during difficult times and they were so much fun! Your parents are the standard for what I consider a "good" person to be. They were accepting, generous and full of love. Their love for each other was evident - I think that is what made them so pleasant to be around - they genuinely appreciated each other. Joe, you were four years old when I met your parents. They began their work with the youth group and you were always there at the meetings and outings. I remember one picnic at which you found a bug on the windshield and you kept asking your dad, "Joe, would you kill this pretty bug?" One of my favorite stories your mom told me was of how she, your aunt and your grandmother provided tea and entertainment for some men who mistakenly ended up at their home back in the early sixties. It brings a smile to my face to remember some of your mom's irreverent humor! I appreciate the tribute to your mom - pictures and choice of music. It is good to see the pictures of your beautiful children. I know they bring excitement and love to your life. I hope to hear from you. I would like to hear about your life in Fla. and how you ended up there. Take care. love, amy
